Clear blue skies, sandy beaches, delicious ice-creams and sunny days!
September is just around the corner so let’s make the most of these bright and delightful days!
Holidays are something to look forward to, a great chance to relax and enjoy the time to do things that bring you happiness! A change of scenery, creating cherished memories and recharging those batteries.
Just the thought of enjoying the sunshine beating down, tasting the bracing sea air, hearing the roar of the surf, as it ebbs and flows over golden sands, lifts your heart. And did you know it only takes a ten-minute walk along the beach to give you your RDA energy boost of Vitamin D - Happy Days!
I certainly sleep better when I’m at the seaside, all that clean fresh air, it also increases my appetite, ready for coastal classics of fish & chips and of course an ice-cream too! Who would have thought that a scoop of ice-cream needs an average of 50 licks to finish? With National Ice-Cream Day on 17th July, I need no excuse to test this theory. I love Chocolate, but the most popular flavour is Vanilla. It was the ancient Chinese who planted the first seeds of modern-day ice cream, but it took the Italians 3,000 years to nurture it to what we know and love today. (A Mr Whippy 99 is the UK’s favorite!)
As fish & chips are a must for any beach visit, the nostalgic familiar smell wafts through the sea air, according to a survey the smell of Fish & Chips is the UK’s 9th favorite smell, surprisingly just pipping the perfume of fresh flowers! A fish and chip supper has been a beloved British classic for decades, with the oldest fish and chip shop in Yeadon near Leeds opening in 1865
We are spoilt in the UK with endless miles of picturesque coastline from golden sands to shingle and pebbles and this summer is the ideal opportunity to book a Coach Holiday, staying at one of the many delightful seaside resorts this country has to offer. Perfect to not have to worry about travel chaos and queues, just sit back, relax, and enjoy the views.
