Tuesday: Heading south we make our way to Stamford, a bustling prosperous market town with quaint streets and delicious food. We continue to The Best Western Priory Hotel, where we are welcomed with tea and cake on arrival. Settle in before a leisurely dinner followed by a festive quiz.

Christmas Eve: We spend the morning in Bury St Edmunds, with its delightful abbey and gardens, great shopping and unique attractions. We then head to the theatre for a spot of afternoon fun at the Panto – “Oh no we don’t – Oh yes we do!” This evening following dinner there will be live entertainment.

Christmas Day: Enjoy a relaxing day at leisure. Perhaps take a stroll to work up an appetite for your traditional Christmas lunch with all the trimmings. The afternoon brings the King’s speech with tea and Christmas cake followed by an evening buffet and board games in the lounge.

Boxing Day: Take a leisurely breakfast then we’re off for a visit to Cambridge, an attractive city on the River Cam, home to the prestigious University of Cambridge, dating back to 1209. Colleges include Kings, famed for its choir and towering Gothic tower as well as Trinity and St Johns. Back at your hotel, tuck into afternoon cream tea. Live entertainment follows dinner this evening.

Saturday: After breakfast, we begin our journey home with an en-route stop at Boundary Mills Superstore in Grantham.
