Thursday: We head to Hull for our overnight sailing to Rotterdam. Once on board settle into your comfortable cabin before exploring the ship and enjoying dinner and the entertainment on board.

Friday: Following breakfast we continue through the Netherlands to Valkenburg, where beneath the ruined castle, centuries-old corridors meander to create a unique setting for the Christmas market which spreads its stalls through the Velvet caves. We then continue to the hotel near Dussledorf to settle in prior to dinner.

Saturday: A full day to spend in Dussledorf exploring this fantastic city and its Christmas markets. Set around the picturesque old town, there are several markets to discover, with each one offering a truly traditional festive atmosphere and many unique crafts and gifts to purchase in the pretty illuminated stalls.

Sunday: Off we go to Cologne to experience the fabulous festive markets, set around the picturesque old town and glorious Gothic Cologne Cathedral, savouring the sights, sounds and tempting aromas of a traditional festive German market.

Monday: Heading back towards Holland, we break the journey in the attractive city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch, then continue to Rotterdam for the overnight sailing to Hull.

Tuesday: We return home.
