We also spend a day in the Principality of Liechtenstein, complete with a guided walking tour, a sightseeing Citytrain and a wine tasting – a superb holiday awaits.

Your Excursions

Friday: We head to Hull for our overnight sailing to Rotterdam.

Saturday: Travelling through Holland and onto France making an overnight stop in Strasbourg.

Sunday: Continuing onwards to Switzerland we arrive in Saas-Almagell and settle in for the next three nights.

Monday: A day of leisure to relax and enjoy the fresh Swiss mountain air.

Tuesday: To Zermatt via train from nearby Tasch. It is a unique pedestrianised town with chic shops and awe-inspiring views of the towering Matterhorn. There is a chance to take the train to the summit at over 3,000 meters above sea level.

Wednesday: One of the highlights of the holiday – the Glacier Express. We travel in first class carriages on the 5½ hour journey, passing snow-capped mountains, stunning glaciers, sparkling streams & waterfalls. Afterwards the coach takes us to Klosters and our hotel for the next three evenings. 

Thursday: A free day to spend in the Davos region and the swish resort of Klosters, known as the playground for princes. A free train pass is included so you can explore as you wish.

Friday: Today we visit Liechtenstein, a 25-kilometre-long principality between Austria and Switzerland. Beginning with a walking tour we visit the Postal Museum then take the sightseeing Citytrain around the old town, vineyards and castle areas. Last stop is Prince of Liechtenstein Winery for a tasting and souvenir glass to take home. 

Saturday: Departing Switzerland for France with an overnight again in Strasbourg. 

Sunday: We continue to Rotterdam for our overnight sailing to Hull.

Monday: We return home.
