Monday: To Hull for the overnight sailing to Rotterdam.

Tuesday: We travel into Germany and arrive at our hotel to enjoy a set Franconian themed dinner.

Wednesday: Our day begins in the scenic riverside city of Wurzburg with a tour before continuing to the half-timbered town of Tauberbischofsheim, again taking a short guided tour of the highlights. Next, passing the beautiful Lauda-Königshofen, to Weikersheim with an opportunity to visit the castle and magnificent baroque garden. Afterwards, we return to the hotel for dinner and entertainment.

Thursday: First stop is Rothenburg ob der Tauber for a fascinating walking tour to see the medieval architecture, preserved gate houses and the Gothic styled St Jakob’s Church, followed by free time. This afternoon we visit Franconian Wine Paradise which begins with a walk around the vineyards followed by a typical Franconian snack whilst tasting four local wines.

Friday: We take a guided walking tour of Schlűsselfeld, Germany’s smallest town, followed by free time. Later we gather at a local family brewery for a beer tasting. Well known locally for its beer production we learn about the process before returning to the hotel for dinner and entertainment.

Saturday: Our final excursion is to Nuremberg, where again we begin with a guided walking tour of the old town including the towering St Lawrence Church and the Imperial Castle.

Sunday: We leave our resort and head back to Rotterdam for the overnight ferry to Hull.

Monday: We return home.
